Not sure if anyone noticed, but the Happy Gnome has announced the 2015 Firkin Fest. It'll be April 4, and all 44 firkins will be from Minnesota breweries. Tickets are $44. I never saw the discount tickets like I did last year, so my wife and I went for the full price tickets. Totally worth it. And, it'll be one of our first outings since our son was born last week. Having never been to Winterfest, this has been my favorite beer fest each of the last three years. I look forward to it pretty much the day after the fest ends. I'm certainly going to miss some of the out of state breweries (no Mirror Mirror this year or Irish Coffee Buffalo Sweat), but many of my favorites from have been from in state and we keep getting new ones (some of which are pretty darn good).
Bought my tickets the day they went on sale. Had a great time last year, first time, and wouldn't miss it with all MN breweries! We have a group of at least 10 going at this point.
I held off for a week or so just because I was looking for the half off tickets from Voice Daily Deals that I got last year just as the full price tickets were going on sale. $25 for my favorite beer fest last year? That's a win. But I had to pull the trigger because I didn't want to risk this selling out on me.
