I got tickets to Firkin Fest, but now I can't get there until 3pm (it starts at Noon).
I've never been, is it worth getting there 3 hours late? Will kegs be cashed?

Some of the really unique and tasty firkins will be gone by then. Still lots of other great stuff will still be flowing. Personally for the cost, I wouldn't go three hours late.

I agree. the rare stuff goes in the first hour or 2. almost everyhting there is worth drinking though. Im not going this year or last because of the price hike.

I thought that this sounded good, until I saw that price. I asked them about it, to see if they were at least throwing in an event shirt at that price and they said that it was just the admission. When I asked why so expensive, they said that it used to sell out at the cheaper price and still sells out at the higher price, so why not (probably worded more tactfully, but that was the gist, with no mention of increased costs to justify the increased price).

If a business wants to increase a cost, for the exclusive reason being that they can get away with it, then the very least should be to turn it into a package deal that includes a shirt and/or hat, that really becomes a public billboard for your business anyways. Otherwise, all that happens is that the community that you are servicing views it as nothing more than a cash grab.

I say this as a supply and demand proponent; but at a certain point a business risks crossing the line of being seen as exploiting its potential customer base, which is never good for brand building.

Yep, I'm pissed. They better make it cheaper next year now. I understand this is probably a last ditch effort to sell some tickets, but at the same time they would have to know (or at least I hope they know) they are pissing off a lot of people. I won't be giving them any more business. Not that I went there a lot, but more for the principal. I like the muddy pig better anyway.

How many people do they let in to this fest? I just looked at this deal and so far 66 have been bought at $25. That is a lot of people right there and the deal is still going on. Be interesting to see how many they finally sell at this price and then see how many people are there to figure out the ratio of who paid what. Currently there is 5+ days left on the deal on that site, but I am sure that they will probably sell the allotted qty first.

Looks like 150 total at that price it was super small. I went the last 3 years and not this year as I'll be skiing in Tahoe. I thought it worth the price last year, but I do honestly miss the ticketing system of $10 to get in and buy drink/food tickets for $1 a piece. For $30 I got 14 or so beer pours and some tasty food. I understand costs go up, etc. Last year was pricey but WAY better than the year prior as they sold less tickets WAY WAY WAY better. I would pay and go again.
