Everything is in our basement except for what isn't in use. So the Carboy is off in a dark corner with a towel wrapped around it. The temp in the basement is between 65-68 in the summer.

When we bottle we will keep everything down there. We just keep equipment in the garage

    Hello helloooooooo!

It has been 2 weeks since we bottled, and just out of sheer excitement and curiosity, I snagged a bottle, chilled it, made dinner for the wife and served it with dinner.

Initially when I popped the cap, it let out a tiny carbonated sigh, and the aroma of honey/citrus was detectable. I poured into two pint glasses, (so we could each get a sample and compare)

It poured a beautiful sunset yellow with hints of orange, with about 2 fingers of foam. I will post a picture when I open another one net Sunday (three weeks since bottling) The taste of very crisp, honey was dominant, with a tiny bit of floral hop at the end, paring nicely with a faint alcohol sensation.

Our first homebrew is complete and I could not be happier! I picked up a BIAB Stout kit I will be attempting to make in the next few weeks. Vanilla bean stout

Thank you everyone that helped out along the way :slight_smile:
