First Bar Beer

Budweiser at the local VFW. Couple of older guys at work brought me for lunch.

 

My first beer at a bar which also was on my birthday and my first legal beer was a Leffe Blonde on draft.

 

Probably a George Killian's Irish Red. Back in the day this was considered "craft". lol.....

 

No doubt it was an Old Style or a Schlitz. My old Man drank Schlitz back in its hey day and it was the first beer I ever sipped. I'll tellya what, it was an awful nice lager and a pleasure to drink for such a mass beer. But my first bar beer was probably Old Style before they muffed their formula too. It was a decent Lager to enjoy in a tavern watching the Cubs play ball.

 

can't remember. was either bud light/miller lite/ corona/guiness/bud

i probably loved every sip of it.

 

17 years old at a local dive, ordered pitchers of Schmidt's after work with a dozen of my coworkers from a Friendly's restaurant.
First legal beer was likely a BMC AAL of some sort at Fenway Park. That was immediately after ordering my first legal drink, a shot of Cuervo, outside the Park at the Cask 'n Flagon.

First beer ever was Killian's Irish Red, at age 14.

First beer bought at a bar, though, was in Toronto, two days before my 21st birthday (went there because one of my close friends didn't turn 21 until months after me, so wanted him to experience it too). In the hotel bar, right next to the old Maple Leaf Gardens, I had a Carlsberg. I've come a long way since then.

 

Probably something from Molson. We used to drive up to Montreal when I was 18 to legally go to the bars. Took an adult trip with my wife to old Montreal last year and the difference between those early trips and experiences were night and day. Old Montreal and Montreal in general is such an awesome city.

My first bar beer was draft Miller in an iced mug for 50 cents, with the mug replaced every other beer. It was in a dive bar near where I worked when I was a senior in High School in 1979. The drinking age was 18 then.

 

I like grind, and donuts. Lets be friends.

 

In the winter of 1981 I was 17 (drinking age was 18 at the time), and some friends and I went to a biker bar to see my guitar teacher play a few sets. We saw the Heineken Dark tap handle and just ordered a round of those, figuring it would make us look older than we were . Whatever the reason, we were served with no question and really loved the beer- so that became my first regular hangout as well.

 

Black and Tan. My buddies took me to the local dive bar down the road at 12:01 AM.

 

When I was 17 I was working as a back server at a restaurant in the town I grew up in, after work one night a few cooks & servers took me out to a crowded bar that has a lot of taps & a beer ingredient as it's name. A few years later it shut down, apparently too many minors drinking. Anyways I was at a table in the middle & I asked my buddy to get me a Fat Tire & he brought be a Bud Light. I was just excited to be at a bar, so I drank it.

I'm older than the craft beer craze but I know mine was a Miller High Life. First Craft beer bought in a bar was Arrogant Bastard in SD, didn't even know how huge Stone would become.

 

Hard to remember that far back but probably a Lone Star at Casino el Camino in Austin.

 

First was schneider Weiss in Germany. My first legal beer on tap in the US was Final Absolution followed up with Kuhnhenn's DRIPA.
