One of my Dad's Miller Lite, the white can, with the funky lettering, while watching Carl Yarborough race around the track. True story.

First beer was a Bud. First beer I actually enjoyed and found drinkable was Becks.

First beer was a miller lite when I was 11. My first craft beer was boulevard wheat still one of my favorites.

Stealing sips of Dad's Stroh's beer when I was just a lil shaver, back when Stroh's was made by Stroh's.

Miller Light while in HS. Thought it was horrible and thought I also didn't like beer...

A magical sip from my Dad's Schoenling long-necker almost 50 years ago. So cold, so bitterly biting, and soooo GOOD to my wee taste buds. Easily my happiest beer taste memory.

I hooked a Country Club Malt Liquor from the grocery store when I was 9.

I believe the first I ever had was a sip of Coors Banquet/Classic/Original from a can. The first beer I outright finished was a Miller Lite, and the 3rd was either a Sierra Nevada or a Boston Lager, both of which would have been quietly borrowed from my Dad's fridge without his permission.

I got lucky when pulling the "Dad" straw. First sip was a Guinness draft when I was maybe 8-10. Creamier than I expected. First beer was a SNPA. Very bitter at the time, but delicious flavor underneath. Been hooked since!

I don't remember what the beer was, I was eighteen months old or so, at my uncles wedding. Apparently one of my mother's relatives thought it was funny to give an eighteen month old beer. Apparently I didn't mind! Explains a lot actually.

My mom gave me a sip of her Budweiser when I was very young. I hated it, and hated every AAL I tried even after I was of age. I didn't like beer until I tried my first craft, which was a local Motor City Brewing Works offering that a former co-worker convinced me to try.

Speaking of babies drinking beer, a friend's little brother was 2-3 at the time, and his dad must have left a mostly-full Bud on the table. Friend starts cracking up, and I look over and see his little brother chin up, slugging away before someone snatched it from him. He was kind of a smartass/deviant kid up til maybe age 10.
Kid's 100% fine now BTW; in college and much less deviant than he was as a kid.

Pretty sure it was Coors. Busch Lite is also in the running. Regardless, I didn't understand why people liked beer, and I still don't like those beers.

Probably Old Milwaukee when I was about 5 or 6, its what my dad drank. Haven't had Old Mil for years, pretty sure I couldn't stand to finish a can now.

I don't recall actually, as I grew up in a very German family and was fed beer every so often since I was 8, but my first craft beer that I remember drinking was actually one of the best. I was in an improv training group for Second City in Chicago and I was about 19 when we went to the Goose Island brewery. The waitress didn't ID me and I wanting to get as drunk as possible as fast as possible ordered the highest ABV beer on the menu. What I ordered was a nice strong glass of Goose Island BCBS. I don't remember anything about the taste, but I ordered two and it got me absolutely WASTED.

The first beer that got me really into craft beer was under similar circumstances (I was 20) at a Chicago pizza place. It was Summit Hefeweizen and I absolutely loved it.

Craft beer was still unheard of in the late 70s. My dad always had Miller Lite in the house and Budweiser was standard fare at grandma and grandpa's house so it was one of those. Probably Bud, I recall drinking a fair amount of that as a kid (what would be considered a "fair amount" for a kid anyway)... and it was wonderful! Was at a shindig earlier this year and had the first Bud I'd had in many years. Now that my pallet has evolved it wasn't great but you know what I was eating pig roast and raw oysters and the Bud washed it down pretty efficiently. My brother joked that I needed the raw oysters to wash down the Bud...
