In case anyone was wondering, I was not exaggerating in my estimation: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/287/1093/?ba=fmccormi

I tried 2 hearted for the first time on vacation this week... very nice, but I totally agree with the other poster. If you are accustomed to very aggressive flavors, this one may not be enough for you...

That being said, as others mentioned, definitely must give it a fair shot with a fresh bottle or 2.

Having grown up in Kalamazoo, Bell's has always been a no Brainer for me. I can honestly say Two Hearted got me drinking beer (Craft), and addicted to IPA's. In high school (late 90's) I had my older brother buying me two Hearted. I wouldn't call it a hop monster, but it's a solid beer and rated highly for a reason. I could drink it anytime. Glad to hear you (OP) trying it, but understanding it may be old (which I feel it was) and not turning against it. I live 5 minutes from the Eccentric Cafe and would be more than happy to send some fresh bottles your way, & or trading (I've been dying to try Pliny forever) I was there yesterday buying homebrew supplies and checked a two hearted bottle, bottled early march. Cheers!

Asking the bartender when you're at the bar.
