I always wanted to brew beer for awhile and finally got a push. Made the American Pale Ale that came with my kit. I am on day one of fermentation and noticed a dark spot on my krausen. Should I be worried?
Welcome to the BA site and to this wonderful hobby. You're good. Don't let that dark spot talk you into messing with your beer. It may have brothers and sisters before your fermentation is done. All is normal.
Welcome to the addiction! Dont micromanage your brews and you'll have less anxiety about them...the more you look at them, the more you will think something is wrong In most all situations, as long as you used good sanitation and proper procedures, you have nothing to worry about. Relax, have a homebrew and chill until you're ready for kegging/bottling! Cheers!
Apparently I've just come here to say "welcome" and like everyone else's post. I guess I can 7th the "you're just fine" sentiment, too, while I'm at it.
