HCT is in the North Market, and Barrel & Bottle is in the same building. It's a bottle shop and they have a growler station (you can buy a pint and roam the rest of the building if you'd like).

It's obviously a long ways away, but as of their last update they have both Bodhi and something from Hoof Hearted available. Obviously it will be a totally different list by next month but it's a good indication for what they like to offer.

I keep looking at pictures of HCT so I'm altering the itinerary to include a lighter lunch before check-in and then hitting HCT on the way. Two questions:

    - Is there usually a line between 2-3?
    - Can we grab a draft/bottles from Barrel and Bottle and drink in line if there is one?

If you want to go to HCT go earlier if you can, they're usually out of chicken by 2-3. I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to drink at the North Market but I could be wrong.

HCT prepares a set amount of food per day, and they frequently sell out prior to closing time (I believe 3:00 PM). They do offer a call-ahead pickup option which would eliminate the line problem.

Making HCT your pre-check-in lunch would probably be a safer bet. Or hitting it Sunday before leaving if that is a possibility.

The drafts from B&B can be taken anywhere in the building, or if there is space at the bar you can eat your food there too.

Law changed fairly recently that permits drinking within the building.

I stayed at the same place for hte N. IL game. We spent most of our pregame at Wolf's Ridge. Brunch than Tap Room. It was awesome, highly recommend and was like 10 minute walk from the hotel.

I suggest you bring some Michigan beers from Founders and Bells and toast the Wolverines! I don't understand why Urban Meyer decided to move his best QB to wide receiver.

Actually he moved his best QB to the bench, Braxton is right where he should be. But I'll still pass on touching anything Michigan related :-)

Just arrived in Columbus for the game this weekend. See lots of brewery and bottle shop recs here, what about craft beer bars? I've seen the Ohio Tap Room, but is that more growler fill than bar?

Daily Growler in Upper Arlington and Powell do pints, tasters, and growlers. Check out the new Bodega on high St. Bob's Bar on High Street is great. World of Beer brewery district, University area, and Easton are good. Pies and Pints is good.

Very stoked that it's finally officially the week of my Columbus visit and first home game. Disappointed that I won't be able to watch our best product with Barrett's suspension, but hopefully we can lean on Zeke and the D and get through this one without too much stress.

Wanted to send this thread back to the top to ask the locals if there are any specific releases hanging out this week that I should be on the lookout for. I know Hoof Hearted has a release on Sunday that we'll probably get to, but is there anything else that hasn't been mentioned before in this thread that I should look for at the source or in bottle shops?

Thanks again guys/girls, you've all been extremely helpful and I'm really looking forward to the itinerary you've all helped me create!
