A friend shared their dad's homebrew last night. Some was good. Some was okay. Some was bad. I did not drainpour anything.

Ballast Point Indra Kunindra, could only handle one glass. Way too much curry for me.

A total waste, but I agree unfortunately.

I wonder if everyone against drain pouring and the whole "if I open it, I drink it" mentality, eat food they don't like or find disgusting... Get a plate a completely burnt black steak and old, stale, rock hard fries and say "well its on the plate in front of me, guess I got to eat it now."

Not everything is good (not even all craft beer) and that's ok! There is nothing wrong with dumping it..

So far I have had 1 drain pour... Short's Spruce Pilsner, tasted like hoppy pine sol couldnt finish it at all.

    Hahahahahaha ...

I have made it 4 days, 2 hours and 48 minutes into 2016 without pouring a beer down the drain. Amazing will power I have, apparently.

I knew there was someone out there that wouldn't get my attempt at humor:slight_smile:...Seriously, I'm too old school (cheap) to pour beer down the drain!

My drain pour was a Sly Fox Christmas Ale. I gave it two gulps before realizing that this beer was not for me.

The amount of waste in this thread kills me. Read more, buy less, drink smart...that is all.

I poured out half a bottle of Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Märzen. Don't get me wrong; this is an excellent beer. But I recapped it (using a bottle capper) after drinking half of it and it didn't quite make it, carbonation-wise.

It works most of the time, though.

I don't know about other states, but in California, I have been informed that it is in fact illegal for retailers to take returns on opened alcohol products. I don't know if that's true, but I have been told this several times over the years when I have tried to return infected beer at different places.

Possibly, but I have never had an (accidentally) infected FW beer before. Doesn't mean that's not what happened, though.
