First Homebrew- too little headspace?

    Hi All- I completed my first homebrew last night and have placed in a 1 gallon fermenter. Here is an image of it currently, is this too little headspace?

    No image showing here, or accessible at the non-image link you embedded in the image tag. You need to put the pic somewhere that's accessible to all, and make sure the URL you copy is for the image file itself, not a web page.

    That said, if you put one gallon of wort into a one gallon fermenter, that's not enough headspace. Generally, you want a headspace that's at least 30% of the batch size. e.g. for a one gallon batch, you'd want a headspace of 0.3 gallons, so a total volume of about 1.3 gallons.
