What's the first IPA that turn you to the bitter side of beer?

Same here... Two Hearted... still a great beer that I think we all take for granted because it's easy to get!

Probably SN Torpedo ale. Although, I'm really not a hophead and actually prefer stouts and bock beers. Torpedo opened my horizons for hop based beer though.

It was 90minute for me. Gave me the aha 'oh so it's not just astringent bitterness--i get it!"' moment.

60 min & Hopdevil got me interested, but Stone IPA did the most damage(in a good way!)

Tupper's Hop Pocket. The beer is now a shell of itself but back in the day it was my go to over the top hoppy beer and the beer that taught me how wonderful hoppy could be.

Green Flash West Coast IPA, at the time it was so unique to me, unleashed the inner Hophead in me, haven't looked back.

I'm with @fredmugs and @KidSalami - Two Hearted. Probably at Clark Street Ale House in 1997 or 1998? Adam used to have some excellent stuff on the hand pull.

I was lucky enough to stumble onto the Alchemist brewery without really knowing what it was. So heady opened my eyes to what a hop can really do.

yeah it was probably stone IPA that pushed me over the top. killed quite a few lagunitas hop stoopid and lil sumpin (etc) in my time as well.

nowadays, it's all dirtwolf, NEBCO sea hag, gandhi-bot, and one-offs, peekskill IPAs, other half, various VT IPAs, etc. but In The Beginning those old standards definitely got the job done hop-wise.

Stone ipa. It was early in my craft beer exploring days and it really got my attention. It wasn't long after that when I had a ruination. Dipas have been my favorites ever since

DirtWolf and Gandhi... Gandhi would be a fridge staple if it wasn't too far for me to grab.
