I'm not going till next wknd but I do the trip from Campton all the time. My fav route is 93>91>16(south) to Jaffin Flats - for speed / most interstate. Have fun - it's so awesome!

Thanks for the tip. Next week for the Biere de Norma would likely be better, but I'll be out of town. Thought it would be a good idea to go the week before a release so I don't get overstimulated.

    Cheers.

unfortunately, I leave for cali on Tuesday. I do, however, hope to be coming back with some beers that would otherwise be difficult to procure.

Was always curious if most go north to 16S or get off in St. Johnsbury for 2/15/16N. By my record it's same time-40 mins- but 8 miles less going 2/15/16N.

I always go 2/15/16N now, mostly for the shorter milage but also got stuck behind a tractor for several miles the one time I went up north to take 16S. I realize this is just as likely to happen coming from the south as well but so far it's treated me well. Plus, I've done it enough now that I know I won't fly right by the turn off 16 coming from the south.

To the OP, it's not that bad of a drive from Plymouth if you have to do it alone... should be under 2 hours if the roads are good. I make the trip from Easton, NH and always find the worse part is the last little bit on my drive home as I look forward to that first growler.

Depends how fast you drive I think. By the speed limit it's probably a bit quicker to go 2/15/16N. But you can fly on 91/16S and save some time. Plus Parker Pie is up that way...

Danville (the town between Hardwick and St J on rt 15/rt 2) is usually a speed trap. Especially where you turn to get on Rt 15, in front of the store. I don't think I've ever seen a cop on Rt 16.

The NEK got 22" of snow yesterday, and some roads were closed for awhile (open now.) Another smaller snow event is forecast for this weekend, so if you're coming up to The Kingdom on a beer run, make sure you have winter tires and can take your time getting to & from. Cellphones have very spotty service in that area, so come prepared for any conditions. The skiing at Jay Peak is certifiably epic at the moment!

I've done it every which way from Campton and they're all pretty even: the reasons I typically do the mostly interstate route are: 1.) I drive fast and have a radar/laser detector 2.) Parker Pie. But just my opinion. One last suggestion: dress warmly and in layers. Even when you're inside the building at HF it will not be balmy

Greater Hardwick (including Greensboro) area didn't get more than 5" in that storm. Does look like it'll start snowing late morning here tomorrow tho. All the major roads should be fine, just might have to walk up Taylor/Hill Rd if you don't have snow tires/4wd

+1 For Parker Pie. Great place.
