    Hey, Folks:
Long time lurker, but first time poster.

Anyway, I just downed my first Goudenband, while grilling, and loved it. Kinda reminded me of a Rodenbach Grand Cru (which makes sense, I guess). I did notice, though, the the best before date was 2010, though I didn;t notice any sign of oxidation. They're like $15 a pop at my local bottle shop, and I'm thinking about picking up another, but what do you think: does Goudenband age well enough to throw another $15 at it?

Now the 2010 Boon Geuze they have...that's another matter altogether (Boon's one of my faves, BTW).

The Goudenband will age for a very long time. In the right conditions it could do 30 years and beyond.

Had an '87. It was spectacular.

I've got a few that I'm holdin on to for a few years yet. It's usually readily available so if I ever have a craving I can drive to the store and grab another.

Funny, I just had a '95 last night. It was not good. (And it came from Toronado, so it was aged in a good cellar.)

Hey, thanks for all of this. I'll pick up another for a special occasion.

Now if only my bottle shop would start stocking the Rodenbach vintages again....
