First Sour Fest in Albuquerque?!

Congrats on securing the venue, the beers, and putting it together. Can't say I am enough of a sour fan to drop that dough. I'm guessing 148 others will though. I'll be looking forward to the reviews and posts about what we missed lol

 

Had a berliner weisse at 'famed' az wilderness last year that threw my mouth in the gutter. I did give SF kriek a fair chance and liked it.. The most extreme my taste buds seems to want to go with this sour style is Gose. I just love AVBC Blood Orange Gose. I initially tried Westbrook Gose and liked it (oddly enough I dont know why). Apparently La Cumbre brewed one last year. I had no idea.

Solid list of beers. Any info on ABV, acid level (tartness level) etc., or descriptions in general?

I won't say no just yet.

Wow, I'm pleasantly surprised, especially as there is some craft beer and food truck thing at Balloon Fiesta on Sat as well. See you there!

 

@shuntstout It was a great event. Plenty of beer for all and generous pours. Definitely what I want out of a beer fest and clearly what happens when people that love beer spearhead the organization effort.

It was nice to meet a couple of BAs @kingjohnh and beersandboards (I can't find his BA name), as well as hang with the homies @gyoungit and @aaronyoung01 .

There was a good crowd too, mostly cool people.

Again, well done Kevin. Let's hope this is the first of many dope festivals.

 

It was a great time for sure, good to meet some NM BAs. Thanks to @shuntstout and everyone else who put it together. I definitely got my $$$s worth.

 

@Beerandboards I was typing "beers," thus why I couldn't find your name. Sorry about that.

@shuntstout one thing I will say. I was a little disappointed in New Belgium for not bringing an exclusive keg as had been promised. Can you give them some shit for that and maybe they'll send us something nice for ABQ Beer Week to make up for it?

 

Definitely agree it was a great event and thanks to Kevin for organizing it. It was great to meet some of the NM BA's and looking forward to the next fest.
