You are very very close to some Internet prices on the bev air unit. Of course you then need coupler, co2 and regulator

Yes was free but she was a disaster. Didn't run at all.
I did a thread on micromatic on its resurrection after hurricane sandy killed it.
I still replaced every component in the unit except for cabinet and the compressor/evaporator basically.

I saw that thread. I knew the tower looked familiar.

Yes if your running a stout like that required a beer blend gas you will need a separate tank. Since its a n2o / co2 blend.

Its a local Brewery stout. La Crumbre Malpais Stout in one faucet and Elevated IPA in the other is my plan. I guess i will give them a vall tomorrow and ask.

Reading the describtion from here, it looks like the Stout is a foreign stout.

This is a meal in a glass. Brewed with 7 different malts and served cask-conditioned, you should be ready for a full onslaught of creamy stout intensity. Broadly in the style of a Foreign Extra Stout, this is our heaviest and most intense year-round offering.

    Starting Gravity: 1.076
    Final Gravity: 1.025
    Alcohol By Volume: 7.0%
    International Bittering Units: 45

So did I need something special to serve it.

Get a Beermeister value line dispenser. I did the two tap set-up with perlick upgrades and it works great and has everything you need out of the box.

No, you can serve that with just CO2. However, I'd recommend getting a dual regulator so that you're not stuck serving both the IPA and the stout at the same pressure.

Yeah i am gonna go that way. The brewer at La Crumbre told me to go with a dual too. Said the stout is best at 13psi. real cool guy, he is the Pres of the brewery and offered to walk me though building one or helping me pick one out. Just go by and see him during the day. Got to love the way alot of the people in craft beer are and just willing to help each other out.

I have a Sanyo BC 1206 Kegerator. I went with a two-tower upgrade and typically have a 5-gallon and a 7.5 gallon keg on board, which I keep at 37*. I have had it for over a year with no problems. Nothing like having a couple choices for ice-cold draft beer out in the garage. We just finished a 5-gallon keg of Deschutes Mirror Pond and it was magic on tap. Magic.

i bought the danby local at home depot. i havent seen any problems keeping the beer ice cold coming out of the tower. however the regulator it came with sucks. had to spend a couple hours adjusting the pressure to get a good poor. the gauge was set at 8 was shooting straight head outta the tap. now it reads 4psi and its a nice perfect poor

At 4psi your keg will be flat before you finish it.. First thing is to find out v/v of the beer you have and set pressure according to the brewery. Then of your pouring to fast install a longer beeline to slow beer down in lines.you should be over 10-14psi most of the time

Thanks for the heads up. Thats a good tip.

I finally made up my mind on which one I am going to get(Summit 4907Twin) but can't find a good online retailer that isn't charging me alot for shipping or has good reviews.

Have you tried looking in local restaurant supplies? Might have one even instock. Plus going this route you don't have to worry about being responsible for freight damage.

Yeah I have. There is one but only deals in True brand and the other one will order me a Summit but are asking 200$ more plus tax. Might be worth it but might not be. I am not sure how well this store will handle frieght or if the will just try and have it shipped to my house. I would rather pick it up at the store and check it out before having it just show up at my door all busted up.

ALb doesn;t have alot of places to get these type things. Its only places like Costco,Wlamart,Sears,Lowes,Home DEpot,etc..
