Hey BA! I'm starting to save beer for aging, this is my first time doing so and have had a couple that Iv been saving for a bit. I'm looking to buy a wine cooler that can accommodate my 10 bombers and 10 12oz with plenty of room for expansion later. Trying not to spend over $200. Does anyone have any experience with the low end bottles? Like the coolers that hold 9 wine bottles or should I aim for like a 32 bottle cooler? Any advice is appreciated!

If you're anything like me or the other people on here, a 9 bottle cellar is ridiculously small. Even 32 sounds kinda small to me.

My 2 cents? Get a whole refrigerator for beer and then get a temperature controller for it. You can do this for under $200 with a used fridge or chest freezer.

    *Edit. Also, ask yourself:
    1) what kind of beers do you plan on laying away?
    2) how many beers do you foresee yourself eventually laying away?
    3) how long do you plan on aging those beers?

The answers to those questions can really influence what you decide to do. You may not need a fridge/ cooler at all. You might be able to get away with basement storage if it doesn't ever get too hot or change temperature too often.

get in the habbit of checking craigslist... I got a 10 cubic foot feezer that I coverted into a cellar for only $100. Holds about 200 bottles. You be able to find a nice wine fridge on there cheap, but the go very fast! so look often
