Hi guys, first time posting on BA love but viewed around and got questions answered before. I have a GE mini fridge that I started storing beer to save for about three months or so and noticing my temperature is rather cooler than i want it to be. I'm assuming on the dial 1 is "warmest" and 9 is "coldest" but since I bought it used I don't know exactly and want to be on the safe side. What caught my attention was I left an energy drink almost empty and went back to it the next day slushed up a little, the temperature lately has been reading below 40 almost 30. I should have the temp around 50-55 right? Currently the beers are out of my mini fridge and stored in a larger refrigerator temporarily. I've kept my dial on 1 since i got it and its been just below 40. I will post photos of everything I've talked about. Thanks and cheers guys!

Have you tried setting it on 9 with the beer out of the fridge to see what that does? Presumably if things are starting to freeze you probably have it on the coldest setting, or that fridge thermostat is just shot. If it doesn't get any warmer, I would be wary of storing beers in there.

Storing beers below 40 is going to slow the aging process of the beers you're attempting to cellar. Depending on what you're cellaring, this may be a good thing. 50-60 is a good ballpark for some beers, yes, but again it depends on what types of beers you have.

Just did that last night and gonna watch the temp today and so far was reading low 30. I'm having trouble uploading pics on here but for my beers I've got 27, about 12 sours and the rest barely wines and stouts. I'm going to turn it back to 1 and see what it goes too. I've already thought about a bigger fridge since I'm filling this one up fast. Do you know how I can upload photos?

Put the beers into another fridge and then play with the temps. The last thing you want to do is freeze any aged/ expensive beer while you are experimenting. Try it on 9, then on 1; if neither are working and the temp is stuck that cold, don't use the fridge for aging beer.
