Hey all - I am going to be heading to D.C. for a quick overnight business trip on November 18th. I am going to have that evening free and figured I would check out what the city has to offer in terms of solid craft beer bars (no food needed) and potentially bottle shops.

Wondering if anyone can suggest some places that would be within walking distance (i.e. 1 miles or so) of the place I am staying:

Cambria Suites Washington, D.C. Convention Center
    899 O Street NW
    Washington, District of Columbia, 20001

Also, if anyone wants to meet up for a beer or five let me know!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Walk over to Churchkey (its very close to your hotel). Its the best beer bar in the area. P St Whole Foods is a block away from Churchkey and has a good selection.

Churchkey/P Street would be any rec for one easy beer night in DC, so you're in a good spot OP.

If you find you have more time: Churchkey is your best bet for a convenient beer bar but, in terms of brewpubs, Right Proper in Shaw (one stop north of Convention Center on Green Line) and Bluejacket in Navy Yard (a few Green Line stops south) are nice spots. Best bottle shops are in Friendship Heights, unfortunately, so not too easy for you. I've enjoyed Modern Liquor's (9th +M NW) small selection the few times I've stopped in, though.

If you only have one night, others have it covered. ChurchKey first, Right Proper second, both near your hotel. That should be all you need.

Actually the best bottleshop in the city is the Whole Foods at 14th and P St, NW -- right around the corner from ChurchKey.
