Going to do an IP trade there. Never been, I've wanted to check it out for a long time. Their bottle list looks great online. Any idea if it is up to date? Anything I must try for beers or food? Appreciate any advice!

I'm a huge fan of the smoked chicken nachos. Other than that I usually get all types of their sandwiches.. brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken.... it's all good.

As far as beers to try there... I'll just take a stab at it and guess you're going to the Long Beach brewery.... Just drink as much of the hoppy stuff as you can, plus Mocha Machine.

OK cool thanks! Definitely going to give the brewery stuff a full tasting. Any ideas on the bottle list? That's what I'm most curious about. Is the one online up to date? If not, how's the selection usually?

Check out their website and the brewery link for the current updated tap list as well as the guest taps on the live hop-cam link, enjoy the world class beers and amazing food. beachwoodbbq.com They just tapped their Hop-Fu IPA, you must try, insanely delicious. FYI the bottle list is usually pretty up to date and updated frequently.

    Cheers

No one on the first visit to Beachwood should even be looking at the bottle list or guest tap.

It'll take a couple of trips in itself to get through the amazing house beers.

I've never looked at a bottle list at either Seal Beach or Long Beach since they opened, nor have I ever seen anyone else looking at one....

I might be the odd man out, but I haven't been a huge fan of their house beers outside of the IPAs and a couple of the stouts/porters. I almost always end up getting the IPAs and then hitting the guest taps and bottles if anything looks interesting.

I have run into scenarios where the printed bottle lists aren't up to date, not sure how often the online one is updated.

You talk about the Bottle List, but which location are you going to?

I'm asking because they list mother funker from the bruery which I've never had. Not at all opposed to trying the beachwood offerings first.

Really? Seal Beach has a freaking amazing bottle list. They had The Bruery's Dirty Beaver Juice up until about a year ago. But yeah, Beachwood Long Beach is all about the house beers

I never think about drinking bottles when I go out. Mostly due to the inflated prices. I don't care about rare beers anymore so that opportunity doesn't add anything to it for me.

Forget the bottle list for now. Their house beers (IPAs, stouts/porters) are spot on. Guest beer list is one of the best on the west coast. Food is good as it gets (I prefer BTs Southern BBQ). Looks like they have a few good IPA's on right now. I'll be there at happy hour today for Hop Fu. As far as the bottle list I prefer Seal Beach over Long Beach. But that me.

Agreed, Hop-Fu kicks a$$ ... but they are also pouring a collab IPA with Pizza Port called -> Hop Raman ... freaking excellent - nice dank and grapefruit notes - really good stuff
