Hi all, sorry if this is a pain in the a$$ thread! I'm going to be in town this weekend (Fishers to be exact) and will be in attendance for the race this Sunday. Two quick questions...

    1. What are the best shops in the Fishers area?
    2. What will be some good (somewhat sessionable) canned options I'll be able to find? I just checked beermenus.com and found that some of the options I took for granted (Revolution, Firestone Walker, and Sixpoint) don't look to be available in the area.

Any feedback is appreciated...thanks in advance!

I was just in Fishers/Noblesville this last weekend.

Crown Liquors on Olivia Way (at 69 and Southeastern Parkway) had an impressive selection of craft beer. Alot of bombers, cans, bottles. I picked up a love child 5 there, so I wasn't really looking for session beers, but they have a large array - you'll be able to find many beers that fit your needs.

They do have headhunter IPA from fat heads. That's a beer that doesn't hit Illinois distro. It's very good.

That's good news! I'll grab some of that to bring back home. Thanks for the heads up...

Second the call on the Crown on Olio. There is also a nice shop at 96th and Allisonville. If you see Grapefruit Jungle (cans) from SunKing, but it. Limited release and fantastic IPA.

Might want to go to the source for Sun King, with their tap room in Fishers, 7848 E. 96th Street. They don't have GFJ up there, so if that's your goal, downtown may be the way to go.

We do have Sixpoint, just an FYI. There are some decent canned options, you can get Bells and Founders cans, as well as Sun King and Flat 12 cans if you want something local. If you have a night to go to some places, hit up The pint room in Carmel, or Ale Emporium.

For local sessionable canned beers, then maybe go with Bloomington Brewing Co's Backcountry Session IPA,Upland's Campside and Flat 12 has Full 90 or some soccer themed beer that is decent. I have been picking up a lot of Boulevard Heavy Lifting, which is on the low end for an IPA or I like Brooklyn's Summer Ale or Lager, which can be had in 12 packs. The Crown on Olio is the best option, but a little further south on Olio and 96th St is a Big Red and they have a pretty good selection as well. If you are going that far, then go a couple more miles south to Scarlet Lane and get their Pale, which I prefer over almost all of the above. Maybe they have those trendy bullets or crowlers now.

Thanks for all of the feedback...I should be good to go. I'll be pretty close to the Crown on Olio, so that should be pretty convenient.

Just found some Sun King Grapefruit Jungle cans today at the Crown Liquors off I-70 at the Post Rd. exit (exit 96 I believe). They still had 3-4 four packs when I left. A bit pricy though...$17.99.

I want to say they're 17.50 at the brewery though, so a bit pricey either way
