    I posted this in error in the 'home state' thread, so this is a re-run that I've copied over.

    With the number of great breweries that we have here in Michigan, it's hard for me to spread the votes around the Great Lakes. This list is based on the total brewery experience for quality of beers, pub food, ambiance, etc. So not in any special order, the first three are from Michigan, one from Ohio, one from Indiana (but Illinois might as well count it too).

    1. Short's
    2. Bell's
    3. Brewery Vivant
    4. Jackie O's
    5. Three Floyds

    I don't want to overlook Wisconsin, so a runner-up is New Glarus.
