The reason I asked that is because the two words used interchangeably will alter the entire meaning of what I thought the thread was about. It was an honest question and I assumed a simple mistake. I wasn't trying to be a dick at all, but if you're going to fire shots, I'll fire back. It doesn't take an Oxford professor to know how to spell recently, it takes an elementary student.

No issues at all. I noticed the spelling error after I set up the post title. I'm just a "fire and forget" person on my postings and don't bother to proof my grammar or spelling. That's just me.

Well, if we're including the last full calendar year then it would be:

    Rare 1.0
    Prop '14
    BCBS (14/15)
    BA Malevolence Caliente
    Darkness '15

If we're counting on tap, I'd throw in Prop '15 and CBS.

I guess Abrasive isn't a "whale," but it was one of my biggest wants of the year (and also one of the beers that met my expectations spectacularly).

beers I've sought out via trades/bottle shares/generous friends traveling through the area in the past year:

    Pseudo Sue (fantastic)
Dark Lord (had fresh, little too much for me)
Jester King (375ml fruited sours blew my mind...had a couple)
Cantillon st lamvinus draft for first time (zwanze day)
De Garde (couple bottles via trade, only had Apricot Bu thus far and very happy with it)
    Firestone barrel works (all)
Modern Times - core lineup cans
    Black Tuesday (beerfest)
    SOS
    Treehouse
Hill Farmstead saisons and hops for first time
    2nd fiddle

...shit it's been a good year lol.

    1. Ann- Still haven't popped it, but man this was tough to land.
    2. Mornin' Delight- Self explanatory.
    3. Chez Monus- Thought it would never happen, but I lucked out hard in a lottery.
    4. Alpine Bad Boy- A personal want of mine for about 3 years. Finally got my damn growler!
    5. Sam Adams Utopias- It had eluded me for years until a month ago when I saw it was for sale at TW. Expensive, but worth it.

so based on people list anything in the top 250 on this site is considered a whale? Really?
i think people are confusing beers that are made year round but can be hard to get as whales. When they are more like trophies than whales. Like Heady, Pliny Elder, any tree house that arent Good Morning and King Julius.
Whales are super limited or brewery only and some dont have to be that really popular.
    With that said... Mine are.

    1. Fou Foune
    2. Good Morning
    3. Parabola
    4. Two roads Sours (kriek, Hexotic, Kracy Pucker)
    5. Funk Kingston by 512 in texas. Released every 2 years
