Usually, no. In fact, many people have successfully bottle carb'd beers after extended lagering periods without adding new yeast.

    bottling my 2nd brew tomorrow

first beer (apa) was still pretty, but very cloudy...2nd one i used a whirlfloc with 10 mins to go, and it is the clarity of it is great in comparison....so not much help with you here, but consider it for your next brew

Just be aware that could be due to other factors. Grains used, hop additions and especially the yeast strain. Whirlfloc will help, but it still will need a bit of time.

I vote for RDWHAHB. 1 week isn't enough time to let everything settle after primary. I think you'll find that aafter a week + of dry hopping things will settle and you'll have a more than acceptably clear beer.

I've had great success with gelatin, it definitely works best on cold beer. You can add it in the fermentor and chill you whole fermentor after primary, and/or you can add it at bottling and then after the bottles are carbed you just stick them in the fridge for at least 24hrs. Plenty of yeast left to carb with and crystal clear beer.

Recently I picked up some Biofine clear from Northern Brewer. I haven't used it yet but I did forget to whirlfloc my pilsner so I will be trying it soon.
