Hey guys, we are looking to go to Fla from NC in a few weeks, not sure exactly where yet. Didn't want to drive to much farther south than Orlando . Any breweries , craft bars recommended?

Might want to think of your trip a little more. Florida is a fairly large state and depending which coast you travel to means all the difference in the world. Tampa Bay area has probably the largest concentration of quality breweries, but the top 10 breweries in the state are spread all over.

Tampa Bay is your best bet... Orlando is a bit of a wasteland. If you are planning your trip around Beer Tampa is the place to be.

Definitely stop in Jacksonville. A lot of good breweries in that surrounding area.

South Florida has a lot to offer as well. The obvious choice is Funky on our side. But there are also a lot of others including Due South (which is brewing a lot of quality beer lately), Wynwood, Lauderale. But like the others have said, FL is a big state and we are about 3-4 hours from Tampa.

Hit up Swamphead on your way down. Right off the interstate in Gainesville and good beers!

This is exactly what I was thinking. It may not look it, but America's Wang is around 400 miles long.

If you are only going to Orlando, you're pretty much screwed except for Jax.
