Will be passing Flagstaff while spending time at the Grand Canyon and Sunset Crater. I see there are several breweries. I only have enough time to stop at one. Which one brewery should I stop at to get beers to-go? Thanks!!! Also open to restaurants that serve good food to-go?

Just spent three days in Flagstaff. Not a lot of time for beer, but we did hit up grand canyon brewery, beaver street brewery and historic brewing. Don’t waste your time at Grand Canyon brewery, didn’t like anything in my flight. Historic brewing has a nice cherry vanilla porter. Beaver street was easily the best of the three. Nothing that made me want to get a bunch of stuff to take home, but much more enjoyable than the swill at Grand Canyon. Had high hopes of hitting up dark sky based on reading on here that they had good stouts, but tap list looked small and no stouts the day I wanted to go.

I agree Grand Canyon Brewery sucks. They have a tap house / bottle shop that carries a lot of AZ stuff. CHeck out Hops On Birch

Dark Sky and Mother Road are your best bet w Dark Sky being the better of the two with a good food program. Hops and Birch is a great bar as is Historic Barrel and Bottle House.

    Enjoy the trip!

I'm staying in Flagstaff for a bit so thought that I'd share my experience. Dark Sky and Mother Road are great for sure but I was surprised by how good the selection at Pay-N-Take and Hops On Birch was! Lots of cans from nationally known breweries and many great draft options for $5 pints.

Flagstaff is a frequent summer destination for me and they have a lot to offer. I may be a little late to the party but my feedback would be to allow yourself a pub crawl block of time if you can. There are three breweries that are worth exploring all within walking distance of one another - Dark Sky, Mother Road, and Historic (Barrel House). If you can only do one, I would do Dark Sky. They seem to balance good standards with unique, innovative offerings on their tap list every time I have been there.

Heading to Sedona next month and was curious if there are any good breweries in the Sedona area or just near Flagstaff? Thanks for any help/advice!
