I know that lots of folks are adding flaked grains to their IPAs nowadays, but I usually only see wheat and oats, and every now and then, rye. Do any of y'all use flaked barley, or know of anyone, commercial or home, that does? Any concerns with using it?
I don't see any real reason not to, and I got a pound of flaked barley lying around that I want to use up. Just want to see if there's anything I'm overlooking.

I've used it in IPA's just because I had it around. It doesn't seem to bring as much to the table as the other flaked grains, but that's just my perception. I find Oats and Wheat brings more feel.

I've never used it, but if you're just looking to use up a pound of it, just treat it like any other flaked grain, i.e. make sure have enough diastatic power to convert it and don't use a lot of it.
