Buy these and then find a gas company to fill them.

I bought 2 of them when I started my set up considering it was still cheaper than a 5lb tank. Plus its nice to have 2 tanks in case one of them runs out.

The problem is that it holds only 7 lbs of CO2. Granted, that's 40% more than a 5 lb tank, but still only 7 lbs. It's a trade-off between convenience and cost. Considering that a 20 lb refill generally costs only marginally more than 5 lbs (or 7 lbs), the cost difference can be substantial. YMMV, but my sweet spot is 20 lbs. That will carbonate, purge, rack, etc. about 30-40 cornie kegs, or about 2.5 years at my historical rate of consumption. I pay about $25 for a refill (my supplier charges $20 for a 5 lb refill, so you see where I'm coming from). And I have a second 20 lb tank as a spare. I've always got one ready to go when the need arises, and I'm never in a hurry to refill.

Yeah it helps if it saves you money. The place I fill my co2 charges by the pound so size of container doesn't matter.
