    DUPONT AVRIL. One of the most flavorful 3.5% brews I have ever had. Saison yeast is the awesome.

    From the Fuller's website;
    Chiswick Bitter is Fuller's popular session strength ale
    Fuller’s London Pride is the UK’s leading premium ale.

    ESB is nudging 6% and is regarded as a "strong ale"

    Beers are classed by strength, session then premium then strong. Though 6% may not seem strong realise that most non-macro beer in the UK is drunk in pubs and your 20 pint a day man judges strength differently from the guy who opens a 12 ounce bottle.

    I'm still wondering why he asked the question. It's meaning seemed pretty straight forward, but that's just me.

    Their Saison and Pils are great year-rounders, too.

    Excellent, overlooked, and yes, increasingly available on draft. Also from the same importer: Lambrucha, the lambic/kombucha blend, is a session-strength beer with a whopping blast of flavor.

    Not to start the war, but...there's a strong argument to be made that, like "IPA," we're defining "session beer" over here to encompass more than just the English tradition. Notch, for instance, also brews lower alcohol beers from the Czech, Polish, and Belgian traditions. But since we speak English -- the language, not the idiom -- "session beer" is the umbrella term. So...we don't feel as bound by the 4.0% limit, which is open to some debate in any case; it's hardly a law, or even a particularly ancient and revered definition to begin with.

    Sorry if that sets things off. You can blame me.

    Troeg's Dreamweaver Wheat. Low in alcohol (I think 4.8%), flavorful and an easy drinker.

    All Day IPA is not sessionable at all to me. One was enough.

    Came to post this. I also like Sam Adams double agent IPL good hop flavor and easy drinking around 5%.

    I think this beer is actually alot more flavorful than it's given credit for:

    Not to mention cheap and extremely readily available. :slight_smile:

    edit: picture didn't work, but I was talking about Sam Adam's Boston Lager

    Cycle Brewing Fixie is the best thing going as far as locally produced stuff. It's about 4.5 Abv and the flavor is outta this world.

    As for stuff that gets distributed, I will second the mention of All Day IPA.

    My go-to session beer is Sierra Nevada Pale Ale; Victory Laqer if one must stay below 5% ABV.
