Since Victory's Summer Love comes in at 5.2% its not technically a session beer but it's a heck of a lot better than their Swing Saison. I'd also go with their Headwaters Pale Ale (5.1%) over the Swing Saison.

Cigar City Cucumber Saison is one awesome session beer and full of flavor.

    Firestone Walker DBA @ 5%
    Odell 5 Barrel @ 5.2%

Both flavorful and not too high ABV for drinking more than a couple

If Cains Dark Mild were $5 cheaper for a sixer, I'd buy a second fridge for it.

Summit is rocking the session ales this spring, with the organic IPA @ 4.5%, and the Horizon Belgian Ale at about the same.

    LOVIN' IT!

I'll second votes for Lagunitas Daytime and 21st Bitter American.

Edit: I noticed OP is from CA. Drake's Brewery (up in NorCal) is having a beer fest with session beers from all over CA in a couple of weeks. That might be a good place to find some new ones.

Weizens tend to be sessionable, but flavorful with their clove, banana, bubblegum, apples and vanilla-like flavors and aromas.

OddSide Simcoe Sensation just blew me away. Really muscular hops and flavor profiles while not
at all dilute in character. Really, really want more of this....

really enjoyed DayTime over All Day.

one I was most impressed by was Brawler (4.2%) by Yards. A roasty dark mild.

For me Moose Drool is one of the most flavorful 5% ABV beers out there.

Lagunitas and founders have excellent session ipas but a new player has emerged. Joe Short accepted the challenge and prolonged enjoyment hit the shelves.

    Best session IPA.

    EVER.

I can't help but mention some of the best session beers out there, kolsch's and pilsners. Gaffel Kolsch comes to mind, flavorful yet light.

All Day IPA by Founders is my favorite session IPA... Lot's of flavor and hops for such a relatively light beer!

Oarsman Ale by Bells is pretty solid as well. Great take on the Berliner-Weiss style.
