Just wondering about the point in having a thread about session beers in which hardly anybody actually mentions one.

    Marston's Burton Bitter 3.8 abv
    Braekspear Bitter 3.4 abv
You can drink these continuously and steadily and still get shit done afterwards.
And no they do not try to mimmick IPAs - they are just plain old what you see is what you get ordinary bitters.

You're really indefatigable on this topic and it makes me envy your access to so many session-proper beers, and the pub culture in which to enjoy them.

If more than a small handful of <4% ABV beers were available to me, and on cask no less, I'd be stoked.

Lovely beers these . There's a Marston's pub a few miles away , the Royal Oak at Car Colston which keeps its beers impeccably , these two are ideal for me as I have to drive to get there.

I'd love to try these cask conditioned.

All cold beer sold in OK, by law, is no more than 3.2% ABW. But it's mostly macros, if not all macros. Sessionable indeed. Unless it's at a restaurant w/ a likker license. Hence my partaking of Left Hand, Racer 5 Sam, SN etc with a decent steak or burger at a chain.

Bucket List includes going to Liverpool, England to sample some cask conditioned ale.

    Blatant Session 3.75% abv
    For starters.

Banner Summer? Haven't seen it yet, any good?

I thought their American Ale was drinkable but on the whole, subpar.

I'm going to be one of those annoying, elitist pricks who mentions a beer that costs too much and is difficult to buy.

De Struise Weltmerz - 3% barrel aged sour with notes of roasted duck and tart fruits. That's flavor country!

Founders all Day IPA and Lagunitas daytime IPA are both great session beers that have flavor to them.

Boulevard used to brew an ale called Tenpenny. Less than 3.5 ABV. I thought it was mighty tasty. Wish they would revive it.

I've had both, I the nod definitely goes to levitation on flavor. Different styles though...

21st Amendment Bitter American. Great flavor, about the same ABV as BMC, and with a price tag where you can actually afford to drink it all day. Price should factor in to the "session" equation as well. Whats the point in a great session beer if it will cost a ridiculous amount of money to enjoy all day long. Plus it is in cans so it is prefect for outdoor activities.
