Flix Brewhouse in Caramel

Their beer was decent I thought, but that was a few years ago. The bar area is small, but the theaters are amazing. Seats are really comfortable, food was good, service was good too. Overall, I enjoyed it when I went there.

 

I've only been once, just a few weeks ago. Had their flagship IPA and Scottish. Both pretty good, not great. They had a decent guest tap list too.

It's very much a theater with a brewery as opposed to a brewery with a theater (if that makes sense). It's a cool place to go watch a movie. I can't see hanging out there like a brewpub as something that anybody does. They do sell crowlers also if you want to try their stuff but not necessarily into movies.

 

So Flix is a chain, and all of their "home" brews are done at each theater. But the head brewer there also does his own stuff, and it is fantastic. That's what is being entered into brewery competition stuff, and is why it's winning. So if anyone visits Flix, make sure to get the one-off brews.
