Hi Guys. Was hoping some good Flordia BA's could help. I've been asked to help pick out the beer for a weeding in Gulfport Fl on 4/15. The groom gave me this website below but the list is horribly out of date and there is no way they have a good portion of the beers listed in their inventory. http://www.jjtaylor.com/florida/product-list.htm I would love some suggestions on what will be available and fresh in the area. Thanks, Alan

Thanks. I didn't pull much useful info from that thread. I guess this is a difficult question with out more details. Plane to rental car to Peg's is the plan.
There are lots of good beers to be had in these parts, but it's difficult to make recommendations without more information on what you are looking for. Here are a few general recommendations of readily available beers: Saint Somewhere makes excellent farmhouse ales, which also happen to be great with many foods. Some of the "wine" people who usually don't drink beer might enjoy them, as they exhibit some Champagne-like qualities. (And, popping 750s with corks is festive in itself). Also, you can't really go wrong with bottles of Jai Alai and Maduro brown as crowd pleasers.
How many different beers are you getting? Also it's a wedding, don't know if Jai Alai is going to be a good drink for his grandma.
I was thinking about 4 diff beers. Maybe a lambic/fruit, brown/porter, pale/ipa/saison etc I sent the groom a message already suggesting some St Somewhere brews. Only problem with that is I havn't been impressed with the 2 I have tried. Edit: I know I'm in the minority here but I don't like Jai Alai at all.
