I hit CCB up Saturday, and the tasting room had all three versions of the High Seas releases on tap. They sell 4 sampler flights, so it was nice to get all three versions in the flight to compare the hop variants. I will definitely concur with what seems to be the consensus thus far as the Citra version was definitely my favorite, although I enjoyed all three. If you go soon, get some of the Cafe com Leche on nitro, it's good stuff.

Great, I'm glad I could help you get some. I should have noted, they had a White Oak version on tap, and if you like the White Oak treatments from CCB you'll find it delicious. I enjoyed it for sure.

Thought there were 4 versions, although Simcoe might not be as good by now.

rc51sport, if you're referring to 4 versions of the Hopped on the High Seas then Besides the Citra and the Ahtanum versions, there is also one that used an Experimental Hop #xxx that I saw in the tap room cooler last night.

To anyone else who reads this thread: As for the Citra version that I bought last night, I've had a couple of them tonight, and it's a tough call about which is better -- HotHS Citra or Zombie Dust. And surprisingly, what I've had in the cans tonight seem to be much tastier than what I had on tap last night at the brewpub. If the brewery continues to brew this beer then you folks here in Florida have a winner on your hands.

Mothergoose3 if you are still in town Cajun Cafe will be bringing food to Barley Mow Brewing Co. in Largo, FL tonight.
Barley Mow will be having a special Randall to compliment the spicy food.

That sounds interesting; thanks for the tip. Tonight is my last night in town before returning to the cold weather at home. :slight_frown:
