Let's hope it's better than BA Finlaggan and BA Imperial Schwarz. Both were way to hot on release.

Any chance you guys have cracked either one of those recently to see if it's mellowed out?

BA Imperial Schwartz was a pretty fantastic beer.

I can agree with your Finlaggin assessment. But the Schwartz was really damn good and if I remember right, won a FoBAB Gold (Category 6??) medal.

Their blend of BA Schwartz/BA Hi-Fi at the bottle release was a really damn good beer too.

I really liked some of the beers on tap at the pre-DLD release. BA Hi-Fi was on with another BA Stout. BA Imperial Schwarz was pretty good, just not my favorite style and a bit on the hot side.

Not overly oxidized. Notes of sweet port/sherry. Dried dark fruits.

    Thanks Mom!

That's because Chicago BA's only go to out of state releases, cutting line in front of other Chicagoans just isn't the same....

I had a generous BA fly me a bottle of Wooden Hell to the Central Waters party from Flossmoor on a private beer charter plane. Got half of the 15 bottles sold today in return.

Thought this would eb a good place to ask this...

How is Flossmoor station food/service wise? I have finally gotten some people on board with visiting breweries in the IL/WI/MI/IN area, and i figure that one would be easy...nice and close to all of us in the south suburbs.

Came totally unprepared (forgot cash, didn't bring anything to share) yesterday with a group of other BA's (Dvelcich and Weatherdog), but as always at Flossmoor had a great time. Walked in around 12:30, grabbed our numbered tickets, jumped in line about 10 minutes later and had our bottles moments after.

Big thanks to Pmoney and StxSS07 (and the rest of your crew) for sharing some tasty bottles (Surly Syx, Cigar City Churchill, Hill Farmstead Twilight of the Idols to name a few).

Also for anyone who is heading to Flossmoor Station / Three Floyds and hasn't gone to One Trick Pony you are doing yourself a major disservice.

    Cheers!

Nothing that is going to blow away your culinary expectations, but I have never had a bad meal at Floosmoor Station and the waitstaff is courteous / friendly. I look at Floosmoor Station as more of a family orientated restaurant that has mediocre to world class beers on depending on the season / brewer / etc...

    Cheers!
