    I typically look forward to a pre-dark lord day bottle release and party at Flossmoor Station. Last year I enjoyed various barrel aged beers, sour brett beers, and a pretty good saison. What the hell is going on this year, nothing has been announced and its like 11 days away. I know there's been a change in brewer but come on, are you guys done throwing beer events and now just a full-time restaurant with beer? What is going on with this former super-power that was the home of my first legal microbrew on my 21'st birthday?

    I was wondering about that too. I keep checking their blog every day hoping to see something.

    Does anyone know the base beers that went into the barrels? Or are they new beers brewed specifically for the barrel aging?

    I was wondering the same thing Treebs? Think they have a couple existing Schwartzbier's in Scotch/Wee Heavy beers in their catalog but wonder if any of these are the base beers?

    From their blog:

    Pre Dark Lord Day Bottle Release Info
    Just to note an update for the bottle releases this Friday;

    Barrel Aged Finlaggin Scotch Ale, $15/ea, 6 bottle max

    Barrel Aged Imperial Schwartz, $15/ea, 6 bottle max

    Cash Only

    We'll also have a good selection outside on tap, $5/ea for the "premium" selections, and $3/ea for the everyday stuff

    Cheers!

    Does anyone else think it's asking a lot charging $15/bottle for these beers when that's what they charge for BA Hi Fi? At least they have them on-tap so you can try these uncharted beers.

    No. I don't think $15 is too much for a small brewery to charge for a beer they have to age.
    Just my opinion.
