Always appreciate a surprise when I walk into a packie. I never buy it because I am hesitant to commit to a 22oz. Solid IPA. I will return and buy a 6 pack

I thought is was pretty good. At the price there are better options to me.

What price did you see? At least it's progress from bomber prices...

Some basically the same as it's namesake. Makes sense.

Does Wachusett date their contact cans too? I know Larry has a best-by date.

yes, the can was dated best by. can't remember the date, but i was able to determine it was canned around 4/24 iirc.

Presumably then they probably use the same 4 months they do for their own products.

I picked up a six-pack at CBC for $12. Didn't notice a date, but I've never seen it before, so I'm assuming it's fresh. Sure tastes fresh too. I hope to see more CBC offerings in cans (fingers crossed for the Heather Ale!).

$11.50 a Julio's. Tasted super fresh. Can dated just like wachusett with only a date 9/24/14. Which is usually their best by date.

i don't buy their IPAs (no dis, just not my thing), but i'd definitely be up for cans of heather ale.

speaking of new cans, the new (old) berkshire english IPA in cans is nice, but more importantly the rep i talked to said summer 2015 = berkshire czech pils in cans. a fridge corner is being reserved as we speak.

This is definitely their best IPA. Great stuff, I was happy to see the cans.

So good, I had to buy a case. Tastes like Flower Power and Be Hoppy had a kid.

Anyone know how wide the distribution on the cans are? Specifically wondering about CT and the Cape. Did they stop the 22 oz'ers of Flower Child? That was my go-to as long as it lasted in CT last year. Really a great beer.

I thought they did a good job with this one. Not over the top with hops, but solid hop aroma, flavor, and bitterness coupled with an interesting, but not overwhelming maltiness. Will be buying more while its still fresh.

I picked up a sixer yesterday while up in Great Barrington. Good stuff for sure. First time I had it and would like more. The question was never answered if it will be distro'd in CT. Anyone?

My cans were dated "best by 9/24/2014" which seems to indicate five months of shelf life.

My local store in Fairfield only got 1 case. Apparently the distro got a really limited delivery, but yes it has come to CT.
