So I walked into my local shop last Friday and was shocked to see Ithaca Flower Power sitting on the shelf. Thinking it had to be new to the Cincy area since I've never seen it in stores, I grabbed a sixer and didn't give it a second thought. Well, shame on me for not checking, but when I got the 6er home and was pulling the bottles out to put them in the fridge I noticed the "best before" month notched was October. So they start sending Flower Power to Cincy and start us off with old stock?!? WTF?!? Again, it's my own fault for not checking, but I'm surprised the first shipment to the area is old stock. Just wanted to give the Cincy area BA's a heads up.
Like an old IPA, drinkable, but not hoppy at all. Actually, my wife disagrees on the drinkable part, she didn't even finish hers, and she loves IPA's as much as I do. I wish I'd had it fresh sometime just to see how drastic the difference really is.
Found flower power in Cincinnati last Friday, the shop owner said the distributor dropped it off the day before, the bottle was notched March. 9 month old flower power is being distributed to Cincinnati.
