Anywhere to get some good Floyds bombers in Chicago (Moloko and Panzer Wolf mostly) without having to go to the brewery. Do Binnys carry these? In town for the night but no time to stop at FFF. Trying to hunt some down.

Thanks, can't believe I've never stumbled on this website before. Is it usually pretty accurate and up to date? Any chance these places claiming they have ZD actually have it?

It's hit or miss with beer menus. Certainly a lot of them are accurate and you'll find what you're looking for, especially if they update often. Otherwise, some of them hardly update or the ZD moves so fast it won't be there when you get there. Nonetheless, there are plenty of FFF bombers across Chicago. Usually plenty of Arctic at Binny's, and I'm assuming Moloko as well.

Recommend checking out Capone's off of Elston or Fischman's off of Lawrence/Milwaukee. If you're closer to the suburbs and want to check out Binny's Schaumburg, they usually get their Floyd's shipment on Thursdays. Be warned, Zombie Dust doesn't hit the floor and is usually gone within an hour after it hits...

Either way, you can't go wrong with the first two in the city. Capone's always has something good and it's rare that you'll walk out without a bottle of something, and Fischman's has a bar attached to the liquor store...seriously...what more could you want?

Last batch of Wolf bottles that came to the city was late July (i think.) Moloko and a new batch of Dreadnaught started hitting around the city today. Also around are Space Station Middle Finger, Backmasking, and Deesko.

The bars are far more reliable than the stores, to the point if you see it updated that day the bars are correct prob 95% of the time.

FFF have both moloko and arctic panzer wolf listed as available at their brew pub, which more often than not means they will distribute to their normal accounts (more than likely their larger ones) but i have a lot of luck at binnys in schaumburg and des plains when it comes to FFF bombers.

Thanks for input guys, almost every Binnys I called had several options to choose from.

Does anyone know if you can easily get Alpha Klaus in January in the Chicago area in bottles or does that sell pretty quick?

I think Local Option actually has bomber bottles right now, check out their beermenu page...it's almost positively from last year, but it's a porter and if it's been stored properly you shouldn't have an issue. One catch, you can't buy bombers to go, consumption on site only...

I just picked up a dreadnaught bomber all the way as southwest as plainfield. They had tons of dreadnaught, space station middle finger, and moloko in stock. If it is this far out, I imagine the city has plenty.

I was seeing Alpha Klaus in some places until March or April. Binny's won't have it for that long, but smaller places might.

You know, everyone goes crazy for Zombie Dust, but Dreadnaught is arguably better and available all over the place.

Look at the date updated. If it is weeks or months old it probably isn't accurate. The places that update it every day or every week are pretty accurate though.

Its also more than 3x as expensive. Part of the appeal of ZD is the $10 6 pack. If they put it in $10 bombers I bet it would be a lot easier to find.

Also, with beer menus, I always reccomend calling ahead. Most places are much better about putting stuff on there when it comes, than taking it off when it sells out. Not that you can blame them, they update several items when shipments come in, arent taking a constant inventory of whats on the shelf to determine when the last one sells..
