Their stuff is garbage and ugly products.
    Rather have Leinenkugels.

Nobody diggin' counter culture? We're on sixer number 2 and it just showed up last week. I'm pumped for it as a year round offering.

I had a flying dog brew today. Can't remember what it was, but I liked it. Had grape juice in it I think...

I can't remember the last time I had a Flying Dog brew. I remember liking Raging Bitch, Gonzo and barrel aged Gonzo, but I'm sure it's been a while since I've had those. I don't think I've had anything bad from them, it's just that there's so many different breweries available here now it's just easy to pass up their beers and get something else instead.

I love the labels for their beers, Ralph Steadman is one of my favorite artists. But I've never been too fond of their brews. I adore the Pearl Necklace Oyster Stout, but beyond that it's mostly meh. Raging Bitch is one of my least favorite microbrews.

    Great thread...
I am a real fan of their 'Imperial' style beers...not so much of their 'sessionalble' offerings
    - 'The Fear' is my favorite non-barrel-aged pumpkin ale [Oak Jacked Imperial Pumpkin Ale (Uinta) is still my Mecca of Pumpkin beers]...yes, I am looking forward to purchasing a case this coming fall (perhaps late summer?!).

I was fortunate enough for a co-worker to source me a 6Pack of 'The Truth' on a sojourn to MD. This is a wonderful DIPA and arguably the best of their portfolio. Considering the size of the brewery and the breadth of their distribution, I am saddened (as they say, due to costs to make this beer) that this is not available in all of their markets.

    - 'Gonzo' - World Class non-adjunct Imperial Porter...I just wish they used the same date coding on it as they do their other beers (but I think I figured their alpha-numerology for this particular brand).

    - 'Raging Bitch' - A very well crafted American Beligian IPA and (as previously mentioned) one of the first (if not the first year-round) take on the style. It holds up very well to the current day...

    - 'Double Dog' - Get it fresh and drink on the warmer side to elicit its character. Not a mind blower, but for ~$13 6Pack for an 11% ABV DIPA is pretty great.

    - 'Kujo' Imperial Coffee Stout - This is the biggest "miss" in their portfolio. It is too sweet and the coffee is nonexistent. I've had it now for 2 years running and I'm done.

    - 'Horn Dog' Barelywine - Another winner. An English Style with a great flavor profile of caramel, chocolate and licorice. Unfortunately, this is a limited release with even more limited distribution.

    - 'Single Hop, El Dorado' was a personal favorite and it came in 6Packs. The following 2-3 releases were available as single, 12oz bottles and then (as of the Warrior chapter) have reverted back to the 6Pack format. Hopefully, they will continue the trend with more experimental varietals.

As a long-time drinker of Flying Dog, I refuse to ever touch one again after tasting Dead Rise the other night.

The single hop DIPAs are great and not a "rip off", in line ($/oz) with molotov lite, enjoy by, and cheaper than double jack tier. I wouldn't buy them old but when a new one hits I will pick one up.

Gonzo is really good too. Flying Dog (to me) is extremely consistent and a great quality/$ ratio which = "value." I'd love to find a 6er of BA gonzo soon.
