I'm taking a brief trip into Concord and was planning on hitting OMB, NoDa and Birdsong. Is there anything else that I have to do? Probably have time for one other brewery if it's not too far. Looking at OMB Thursday night and Birdsong/NoDa Friday afternoon. (Sept 18-19).

    Tips?

Mobile interface is killing me today. Obviously I'm flying into Charlotte, staying in Concord.

While you are at OMB, keep your eye out for Sugar Creek Brewery grand opening. They are taking over OMB old space are expected to open in September. They are a couple hundred yards apart.

If Sugar Creek isn't open yet, maybe a mile down the street is Triple C (and Lenny Boy). Triple C has been around a while and make some solid stuff, including some BBA beers. Great taproom inside and out. Lenny Boy is a small, relative newcomer and brews traditional beer and kombucha. They also make alcoholic kombucha wild ale (which is sorta like a sour). They also occasional do a traditional sour (tart de la wit).

My friend had said we could hit Triple C but reviews on that we're looking iffy. Have they improved?

    Skip triple c.

While you're in NoDa you should swing by Salud bottle shop. Pretty good crowd on fri and sat nights and there's usually some fun bottles floating around. Maybe I'll see ya there. Cheers!

PS: Common Market in plaza midwood is fun, and you can walk from there to Gallery 22. Neat art gallery/beer and wine bar. As far as breweries go I'd say you're not missing anything.

It's not a world class brewery but it certainly isn't bad. They make solid, if not spectacular beer.

I would not miss Tripple C. Great place right on your route. Very welcoming staff with a strong lineup.

if you are looking for some damn good food to go along with some pretty good beers, definitely give Heist Brewery a check out. Not too far at all down the road from NoDa.

The Greenway IPA is really tasty.
