Flying to Washington with empty bags

    Hey guys my buddy is flying out to Washington and I was wondering what excellent IPA/DIPA's that he can scoop up for me to bring back to Wisconsin, locals would be preferred.

    Which part of WA? The tricky thing about IPA's in WA and the NW in general is that a good many of the best ones are not bottled. With that said, 3-Way by Fort George is delicious this year. The Sister by Fremont is also good. If your friend is in Seattle have him or her stop by Chuck's and get crowlers of anything by Cloudburst, Boneyard, Seapine, or Holy Mountain (though their hoppy offerings are rarely found outside their brewery and they don't have a crowler machine AFAIK).

    this is the best advice. tell your buddy to go to chucks and fill up whatever crowlers you can. it also serves as a great spot to get 4/6 packs. i'd say bale breaker top cutter, melvin 2x4, and fremont summer ale are all staples not to be missed.
