    Yep.

Also saw him try to refill the pitcher of BF and run the open tap onto the floor for a good 5 seconds

It was a bit surprising that a few of the volunteers had either never filled a vessel from a keg or filled a glass from a pitcher before. Or maybe they just panicked in the heat of the moment and failed to fall back on their training....

Pipeworks and Haymarket killed it with all of their entries. Cannot wait for the PW barrel program to take off. Haymarket Clare's was one of (if not) the best there yet again and Indignant was phenomenal.

They were a LOT more diligent about taking tickets last year. I was toeing the line of blacked out drunk last year by 3:15 (rookie mistake) and still had about 8 tickets left. This year I made it until 5, felt pretty buzzed but not bad, and was totally out of tickets.

In the early session I had a good run of unticketed beer. Then I saw this lady with a headset come throughtelling all the servers to take tickets. by the end they were taking tickets before they would pour:slight_frown:

I was pretty disappointed when I saw only 15 tickets in the book, I thought maybe I had lost the other 15 or something. $50 for 30 oz of beer is pretty steep. Then I found a bunch of tickets on the floor and I felt a lot better.

Missed on fuzzy and blueberry Flanders but had plenty of saison du fermier so life is still good! Ended up drinking 3 full glasses of the wild one in the last 2 minutes of the second session.

It didn't help that I had BCBS backyard as my first beer...But, in all honesty the next like 5 stouts I had all tasted thinner/watered down than they should have been. Specifically BBPt5. I hope that's not what that beer really tastes like.
Merkin tasted thinner than the bottle as well. Those were most pronounced to me, that I remember.

    Anyone else try the BBPt5?

And Blackberry Lambic bottle was being poured by some dude, who was generous lol, immediately to the left of the stage.

My group took the stairs up as they just opened them when I got through the line. We had no idea how to enter though because there were curtains draped everywhere. Luckily, we ended up going through to the GI/sour room... worked out nicely. I was a little confused though because my first impression was "did they make this event a lot smaller?"

Awesome fest overall and one of the more enjoyable FoBAB's I've been to. CW 16, BCB Barleywine, Framboise de Amorosa, and Backyard were stand outs for me. The only two big disappointments for me were Rum Ten Fidy and Stone Suitable for Cave Aging. The biggest improvement was the temperature for the first session compared to last year. It was nice and cool and there was plenty of space.

I certainly was disappointed this kicked as quick as it did in the first session. Got one pour early, made my rounds, and it was gone by the time I was revisiting stuff. Was one of the 10 best beers there.

Tartar kept me quenched from 3-430 though, so cant complain much

Didnt think it was awful, just a strange flavor for the style. It was shockingly sweet.

It was BCBS Barleywine randalled with coffee. Allagash only brought a limited number of bottles of resurgam. It was one of the first pours I had in the 12-1 pre-session, and it was definitely gone by the time they let the public in cause I was trying to get a couple friends to try it right away and it was gone by then.

    This times fifty

He was pouring full glasses, pouring the wrong beers, mixing the beers, spilling tons of beer/missing glasses while pouring hard, claiming Fuzzy was an apricot sour, etc. I saw many ask for Fuzzy/Blueberry flanders and either get the wrong one of the two or the Sun King flanders, and he then poured out the pours. All in all, I think he caused the Side project kegs to run between 2 and 6 times faster than they should have. Thankfully, he got replaced, but by then it was too little too late

Fuzzy was easily the standout for me. My self and the group of guys I was with had about 4-5 pours each. Amazing.

    Coffee bcbw was crazy

I don't believe 2nd session had barleywine as the coffee randalled base beer. I believe it was BCS, similar to the peppers

Coffee randalled BCBS was one of the best beers I have ever had. And I typically don't care for coffee beers.

Did Bell's have the BBA Baltic Porter that went through label approval recently? If so, how was it?

Also, the overall consensus on 6 Legs Maple Porter seems not good. Anyone enjoy it at all?

The 6 Legs Maple Porter was the 2nd beer I tried and I was expecting it to be mind blowing based off the description and I honestly wont purchase a bottle if I make it to 4Elf. It was a nice beer, but I wouldn't spend my money to purchase any.

After having numerous glasses of Three Pair of Legs over the course of two weeks or so, I can see how the double barrel aging wouldn't add much to it. There isn't alot of body to the base beer (Shake Maple Porter), and I would assume after so many transfers there could be more risk of oxidation, etc.
Three Pair of Legs tho, that's a tasty, well balanced beer there.
