FWIW - I checked with Toppling Goliath and they will not be at FOBAB. Damn, I was hoping I would get to try KBBS.

 

This is disappointing.

 

Where do people get those necklace koozies for tasting glasses? Having free hands at these events is priceless. DO they sell them at the merch table?

 

get some string and a cheapy glass/plastic snifter. nothing expensive so that when it breaks, no tears.
Check your local mall, Spencers? do those exist still?

 

Haven't seen them personally but it looks like they sell them at World Market. I might try to make one tonight.

From previous icbg events they scan the barcode on the ticket with a scanner gun im assuming the scanner will work on a phone

 

I will bring 8 kbs & 8 backwoods bastards with me, from this year. if anybody is interested in trading, please beer mail me. looking for decent comparable barrel aged beers. for the kbs, bourbon barrel stouts are preferred. I'm going to the early session and hope to get there maybe 30-60 minutes before 1pm, and can stick around for a bit after the early session. thanks!

Any idea how much a cab ride from Ogilvie Station to FOBAB would cost for two people? Also does anyone have info on the free shuttle? Is it just for people leaving the fest or do they have a designated pickup spot at the train stations?

A cab will be around $40 each way. But the L is $3 each way and not a terribly far walk from Ogilvie. Plus the shuttle at the end of the L. It seems complicated, but it'll be pretty easy once you get here. I promise!

 

Also is there info on parking near the event anywhere?

 

Any idea how long the El ride + shuttle would take, timewise?

 

There's a parking lot at the event; I just don't recall how big it is. And I promise, you won't be able to drive away for this event.
