I thought it was a very well run event, all things considered. While I did not get everything I wanted to taste I got my money's worth.

Yeah sure we could just keep increasing the venue size and with it, the number of tickets sold. What is the upper limit on something like that? Short of moving it to McCormick, I doubt most venues would fail to sell out of all tickets to capacity. There are already more beers than any person can try in a single session, and when it is a smaller event then most of the people attending have the chance to try every beer they want to without worrying about it running out within 15 minutes (before even half the people are in an have had a beer).

FOBAB is, and has been for some time, among the best beer events in the world. Getting bigger means more people show up, but that doesn't make it better. Intimate and to some degree inclusive is a feeling I miss of FOBAB.

    **Edit
Also, for the record there were bathrooms of equal size on every floor of Bridgeport, all right by the stairs behind the 3rd floor bathrooms everyone waited in lines for. Nothing stopped anyone from going to the others, thought maybe not expressly allowed or marked.

I do not drink a lot of FFF, I mostly drink Solemn Oath and some other local stuff.

The Highlight of FOBAB for me was the beer in the pitchers next to the water stations. Im not sure which brewery brewed them but they were an excellent blend of some sort, plus they were self serve and had they did not take tix

i agree. the low viscosity made it easier to drink much faster without it feeling heavy. anyone know who were the collab breweries?

I think it was actually a collabo with the attendees. Each one was invited to bring their own special essence to the brew.

The dark lord variants are beyond amazing. Most of the other ones are awful.

If you were near the front of the GA line, Chocolate Rain, Nthulhu, V013 and La Fosse were still pouring when the doors opened. Raspe and BA Abraxas were definitely 86ed though.

Yeah, I think that is an easy thing to work on for next year. Either split out the VIP people across all of the sessions, or just have a VIP only session. Must be a lot more Imbibe members now and it seems like the Friday people had a different experience than the Saturday people.
