In my defense, I have been at work for 32 hours straight right now...customer fiber cut over, I work in a data center.

 

Make sure you bump the Bourbon County Black Friday thread too. We can't have people forgetting about that with it being so close

 

Last year the cut off was the beginning of August.

 

They were selling imbibe memberships on the spot last year they day of.

 

If you get a ticket to the first session, you can present your paypal receipt for ImBIBE to get in early.

 

Right but what I'm saying is that the Pre-Sale last year to Imbibe members (the rights to 1 ticket per membership bought before the general sale) only applied to memberships bought by the beginning of August, if I remember correctly.

Some people were miffed about that.

 

i got ya, wasn't trying to imply that buying the imbibe membership now would guarantee you access to the presale. but those that did buy an imbibe membership after the cut off could still take advantage of early entry but only if they get a ticket to the first session.

I vastly prefer using Ticketmaster. I mean I hate saying that but at least they provide a service that doesn't fall over in a light breeze.

 

I'd prefer any ticketing company that doesn't act like a one-member cartel. Just tired of being forced to do things like paying $40 for a $25 ticket because of Ticketmaster's ludicrous tacked on fees and surcharges.

 

There are robust alternatives. Front Gate handles tickets for ACL and Lollapalooza, and the rush for those events makes any beer-related event seem like pretty small potatoes. (For comparison, GABF has 49,000 attendees, while Lollapalooza has almost 300,000.)

 

I prefer a ticket service that falls over in a light breeze. My primary ticket strategy is go online, wait for server to crash, while everyone else either gave up or went to BA to bitch on the forum assuming that tickets are actually sold out, I stay and purchase tickets. Havent missed anything in 3 years using that method.

I would imagine that there are, but they are certainly not being used for the likes of FoBAB and/or 3F events. Again, I dislike Ticketmaster as much as the next guy, but at least you know what you're getting.
