So then you are saying that each member gets one ticket guranteed? I thought it was just a chance and not everyone would get one, that makes it more intriguing to join, in years past you had to try and get session 1 and if you got session 2 you were S.O.L.

They likely have enough tickets over the 3 sessions (and assumed increase tickets per session) this year to be able to guarantee that every IMBIBE member will have the availability to buy 1 ticket. You only have the option for the Friday session though.

Did any imbibe members get this email tonight at 9:45? I got the email saying I would. But didn't receive it yet.

Anyone know if the pre-sale tix are transferrable if I can't attend?

If they are using a list, the only thing that seems plausible is transferring to another ImBIBE member.. who already has the opportunity to purchase a membership as is.

Though if they actually print/ship tickets as opposed to names on a list.. I'd imagine that it IS clearly transferrable.

I forget, were tickets transferable last year? The info on BPT says that they weren't... but I know that there was lots of people trading sessions here and elsewhere.

Ticketmaster has entire tools built to transfer tickets, so I'm imagining lots of StubHub activity this year. The DLD ticket holder + guest system sucks in some regards, but it's virtually eliminated scalping. Which is something I'm very, very happy to see.

Does anyone know if tickets will be sold at the UIC forum on Monday, or will they exclusively online? If this question was already asked or posted somewhere on the FoBAB website, I apologize in advance.

There has been no indication that there will be tickets for sale at the UIC forum

Are the taplists the same for each session?

Yes. The rules state that breweries must provide 3x 1/6 barrels OR 6 cases of 12-oz bottles . These get spread evenly over each session.

    You're welcome.

The advantage of going to the session(s) before winners are announced is having a chance of stumbling on one of the winners before the crowds descend on it.

The advantage of going to the post-judging session(s) is knowing the winners and being able to focus on some best of shows... or something. And likely shorter lines for non-winning beers... even though stuff like BCBS and BA Abraxas always have very long lines.
