Just got the July newsletter from Imbibe. It says FOBAB 2015 will be held November 20-21 at the UIC Forum. The website, however, still appears to have last year's date. Mark it down boys and girls.

I'll put the over/under on $85/ticket. Any guesses?

Under. Its not going to go up $30 in one year.

How do I find out the latest date I can become an IMBIBE member and still get access to the hour early entry to this year's first session?

Try emailing Sarah Hargis at [email protected]. She's the one who sent out the IMBIBE newsletter.

http://www.illinoisbeer.com/members/imbibe/, there are also a bunch of other good benefits to being an ImBibe member

EDIT: my former brew partner is getting married this weekend. I might be missing the rehearsal dinner.

Thanks for the reminder to renew IMBIBE membership. Hour early entry made the event tolerable last year.

I actually thought the event was great despite getting in with the plebs (and thus missing out on BA Abraxas and a few other things). Staying away from the GI line also didn't hurt.

With that being said, I'll probably be getting a couple of Imbibe memberships this year.

I thought it was very smooth and easy last year, with the Goose line being the best (waited 5min for Vanilla and got free pours of coffee BCS while waiting from the brewers).

Actually, the GI line wasn't a problem. That thing moved pretty quick despite its size. Plus, I think they let people who just wanted the Sisters hang out off to the side, which was nice. Maybe this year they can split the line into BCBS side and a Sisters side.

It was the middle aisles that were a problem. There was just no room to move.

I had a great time. That said, I'm happy to pay my $40 to avoid the heaviest of the crush.

Yeah, I only went through the GI a couple times, but it was pretty busy (this was right when general admission started). The middle sections were definitely insanely packed, but there was usually no line for the beers I wanted to try, so I was happy to push my way through.

Hoping to volunteer again this year and hopefully I'll be pouring Vainglorious again as well!

If Clybourn bottled that, I'd probably break down, stand in the stupid line, and pay the $30+ they'd want.

This is an event that I really want to get to sometime. Can anyone point me in the right direction for information on when tickets are available for purchase? Thanks!

Sarah didn't reply. Just bought the wife and I memberships anyway.

I was just thinking about that recently. I'm one of the few that actually loves Yellow Umbrella, so I was really excited that they bottled it (and even more excited when almost no one showed up, so I could purchase 2 bottles).

With that being said, if they bottle Vainglorious, my girlfriend will be standing in line with me, because that beer is just fantastic.
