I think they were close to around $20 a 4-pack. As for Rare Binny's LP sold it for $42.99, but $45 was the average or MSRP for Rare.

I love this quote about Rare in 2010

Change that to about 5 minutes or however long it takes to hand them out to the first {insert number} of people in line. for this year.

I'm really hoping the price tag of Rare will at least keep it on the shelves a little longer than the more traditional BCBS bottles, at least at places that aren't doing a huge Black Friday event. It would be nice not to have to kill myself to get a bottle or two of this.

Also, I wonder how much of this they'll have at FoBAB. Given that I'm going Friday, and am not a member of Imbibe, I know I don't have a chance in hell of trying it, but I'm still curious in what quantity they'll have it.

Considering people will pay $200 or more for a bottle of OG rare, I have to imagine the "sits on the shelf" price point would have to be $80-100.

People will buy it just in hopes that they can resell it. So no, it wont sit.

While I agree on all above points, I mostly mean that I hope it will be priced high enough that it won't instantly sell out at liquor stores that are a little off the beaten path. Obviously any craft beer store isn't going to fall under said category, but especially given that this is going to be distributed, I'm hoping to run into it at a few places where most people are buying Miller Lite or Smirnoff vodka.

    Let me have my dream!

If we go off regular costing somewhere between $17 and $20 per 4 pack ($4.50 - $5 per 12 oz. bottle) and Rare was around $45 - that would make Rare 4.9x to 5.5x more expensive per ounce than regular in 2010 (if my math is correct).

While I hope bottles this year will be around $50-$55 (assuming regular at $10/bottle), I highly doubt it will go for less than $60-$65 anywhere, including Binny's. I think the average will probably be closer to $75.

Imperial Breakfast Magpie is from New Day Meadery in Indy-blackberry and espresso mead. Last year was released on Black Friday. They also have a non-barrel aged version as a winter seasonal. Likely will be poured at Indy winterfest in late January.

Well, it's no longer on universe.com.

It sold out in a couple hours last year. Took a bit longer with the technical issues the new host had.

The site still shows tickets on sale for me. I can add them to cart and enter my CC info (not going to checkout to test that but it shows them available for me).

So now that the dust has settled with the ticket drama....

Looking at hotels for Saturday (going to the afternoon session).. We're going up for the afternoon session. Not looking to spend a ton, so I figure we're going to be staying out of the loop, probably towards the ohare area? Is that going to be the best option?

There's a few places within walking distance for under $200 a night, such as the Crowne Plaza. But if you want cheaper (and not some sketchy hole) then out by O'hare is probably a good plan if you want something you can get to via public transit.

Does anyone know the process of transferring tickets into your guests name? Or have an email,or web link that could help me out?
