That's kind of a cool idea. I know my palate always can use a brief reprieve from all the stoutage.

 

I apologize if I missed this, but is there something special needed for the early entry Friday night/Saturday afternoon? I am an IMBIBE member, purchased my tix through the IMBIBE member link, but now that I look at my ticket, it reads 1:00 - 5:00.

 

If the ticket says IMBIBE under the ticket type, you should be good per Katie at Illinois Beer.

 

"Also, please note on your ticket it will show the buyer of ICBG and my email. Your name will show under name and under ticket type it will read ImBIBE and underneath that will show the session the ticket is for ImBIBE. Although the ticket shows the normal fest time, the ticket saying ImBIBE along with your name on a list at the door will allow you to enter the hour early."

While there will be food to purchase, they do not limit the food you bring in yourself. Sure there are many people with pretzel necklaces, but I brought in a box of Ritz (for palette cleansing mostly) and snack bars and there was no issue. Don't forget your water bottles! They provide free water, but I like to have my own to make sure I drink one while I am there and one on the ride home so I'm not a total wreck the next day.

 

They were out of hot dogs by the time I wanted one . IIRC there was also a food truck in front for the day session last year.

 

I bought 2 tickets to take a buddy with me. Both tickets have my name on them. Do I need to transfer one of them to his name? Sorry if this was covered, didn't see it.

So I'm buying tickets off someone for Friday. Had some questions as I have been out of the loop. Are GA tickets from 6-10? What do ImBIBE members get that the tickets are non-transferable? Just want to make sure I don't show up at 6 and GA isn't until 7 or something

 

Their tickets allow them in at 5pm. GA gets in at 6.

 

So do they allow bags? Just asking cause Id surely do that for some snacks. I also planned on doing trade right before and will not be driving. Was wondering if they'd allow me to have it unopened in my bag.
