This is up there on the list of must hits for me.

And back on topic, and noobtastic...

Do folks line up early for their session? If so, is the waiting being done outside, or do they have a holding pen to herd the neckbeards into the forum? And is it stuffy inside, with all of the barrel aged flatulence?

People were lined up outside last night, yeah. I don't think it's incredibly necessary, as the line moved quickly, but if you're chasing whalez I suppose you should.

It's somewhat stuffy in the main rooms, so I spent a lot of the time drinking in the hallway, where the air is cooler and there's a water fountain.

 

Blue label wins a medal, imo. Best I've had.

 

FYI - Spiteful's Malevolence just kicked. Great, great beer.

 

BTW, 2014 Prop is still a cinnamon BOMB right now. Wow.

 

Anyone know winners yet? Pipeworks gave Spiteful a shout out, so I'm curious if Malevolence deservedly took something home.

Interesting. Whalez got completely shut out in favor of beers nobody gave any attention to (outside of Malevolence, I suppose). Props to the underdogs, interested to hear some opinions on the winners! I didn't give a vast majority of them a try.

 

Also, I thought prop 2015 was the most disappointing beer of the night. Total diabetes bomb and hardly noticed the pecans and peppers.

 

1st sip was good. 2nd sip was wayyyyyy too sweet. Would aging help this out? We shall see...

 

Ran out of glasses. Giving out plastic bullshit.

 

Nooooo..... So brutal. Look by sink in bathroom and windows by coat check - drunks always leave their glasses behind.

 

I think the people that ran the ticket website also ordered cups for FOBAB. How do you run out of cups

 

Yeah, I think that was the consensus of everyone I talked to. I liked it, but it was definitely too sweet.

 

'15 Coffee hands down best of this year's lineup IMO. Prop too sweet for my taste.

 

I enjoyed blue label the best. Followed by prop 15.
